DocCheck AG, Cologne, (ISIN DE0005471007 // WKN 547100) has ended its
2005 financial year on a good final quarter and increased its
turnover and operating result over the year as a whole. According to
provisional figures, sales improved during the last quarter of 2005,
compared with the same quarter of the previous year for the group, by
18 % to 3.2 million euro; EBIT was up 6 % to 0.25 million euro. The
year as a whole saw sales growth of 6 % from 10.5 million euro to
11.2 million euro. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) improved
by 18 % over this period from 0.4 million euro to 0.5 million euro.
Sales in the DocCheck, Commerce & Logistic division rose by 26 % over
the previous year’s figure to 5.7 million euro, meaning that
DocCheck, Commerce & Logistic generated over 50 % of group turnover
for the first time. At 5.5 million euro, sales in the Communication
division (antwerpes & partner ag) were still 8 % below the previous
year’s level. This was due to a poor performance during the first six
months of the year. During the second half of the year however there
was an improvement of 11 % over last year’s figures, indicating that
the agency business of the DocCheck group is also back on track for
growth. Profit per share remains at the previous year’s level of 11
cents (previous year: 11 cents). At the Annual General Meeting to be
held on 31 May 2006, the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board
will propose a dividend of 8 cents again. The funding level (liquid
funds and current-asset securities) has risen by 1.4 million euro
from the level at the end of the third quarter of 2005, from 15.7
million euro to 17.1 million euro, to total 2.90 euro per share.
DocCheck AG is aiming to improve sales by 10 %, to achieve a figure
of 12.3 million euro during the current financial year.
