e-m-s new media AG (WKN 521280/ISIN DE0005212807) increased Group turnover by 22 percent to EUR 9.1 million in the first half of 2004. The EBIT advanced from EUR 0.9 million by 78 percent to EUR 1.7 million and already exceeds significantly the total last year’s EBIT within the first six months (EBIT 2003: EUR 1.3 million). The surplus for the first six months almost doubled from EUR 0.7 million to EUR 1.4 million.

Because of the successful business development during the first six months, promising new releases for the second half of the year as well as the advanced orders received, the Management Board strongly increased its previous sales and earnings forecast for the total financial year 2004. The Management Board now expects an increase of the Group turnover by nearly 50 percent to EUR 21 million and an increase of the EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) by 130 percent to more than EUR 3 million.

The complete six months report will be published in calendar week 34.
