Wolfgang Plasser CFO from 1 Oktober 2004
Bruck an der Mur, 20 September 2004. With the appointment of Mag. Wolfgang Plasser into the management board of Pankl Racing Systems AG the supervisory board has arranged the succession of DI Norbert Bürger. DI Norbert Bürger, until now holding the management function for technology and sales at Pankl Racing Systems AG, at his own request resigns from the enterprise as of 30 September 2004. In future DI Norbert Bürger will work for a leading aluminium group in an executive position.
From the beginning of the coming financial business year (1 October 2004 to 30 September 2005) Mag. Wolfgang Plasser will act as new board member for Pankl Racing Systems AG. As future chief financial officer the new board member will in particular be in charge of the segment finance and controlling. The enterprise has significantly improved the internal process flows in the last two years. From now on it is important to achieve further improvements in detail, which are closely connected with controlling tasks. The new CFO will particularly attend to these areas.
With Mag. Wolfgang Plasser Pankl wins an experienced manager. In 1986 Mag. Wolfgang Plasser completed his degree in commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Among his most important professional stages are functions at KPMG from 1987 - 1991 with completed tax advisor examination, controlling at Investment Bank Austria from 1991 - 1997 and financial management at Vossen AG from 1998 - 2003. Mr. Mag. Plasser currently works at Ocean Consulting GmbH.
Thus the management board continues to consist of two members: Dr. Ernst Wustinger, in the management board of the enterprise since 1998 and chairman of the board since 2003, and the new board member, Mag. Wolfgang Plasser. The company founder Gerold Pankl remains member of the supervisory board and will stay in the USA for a further year and will there focus on the prospect business of Pankl Aerospace Systems. For the operative management tasks in the single subsidiaries the Pankl Group has installed a strong second management in the last two years and has increased the technical competence in the management segment by 60 %.
