Heiler Software continues growth in the 3rd quarter 2006/07

Stuttgart, August 14, 2007 - Heiler Software AG, one of the leading provider of electronic product information solutions and catalog management systems, increased Group revenues in the third quarter of fiscal year 2006/07 (04/01/2007 - 06/30/2007) from 2.32 million Euro to 2.49 million Euro (+8%) and so realized - based on revenues - its strongest third fiscal quarter in its corporate history.
The positive business trend affected mainly the especially strong margin field of the product business, which increased by 72% to 1.38 million Euro when compared to the corresponding quarter of the prior year. Within the product business, software license revenues realized with an increase of 122% to 0.75 million Euro the highest growth. Software maintenance revenues increased from 0.27 million Euro to 0.41 million Euro (+51%). Hosting and so-called Application Service Providing (ASP)-revenues improved from 0.19 million Euro to 0.22 million Euro (+14%). In contrast, Consulting revenues decreased from 1.45 million Euro to 1.07 million Euro (-26%) when compared to the strong value of the prior year.
The scheduled expansion of the international selling organisation and the expansion of the consulting capacity are the main reasons why despite the increase in revenues earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) decreased from 0.12 million EUR to -0.19 million EUR when compared to the prior year.
The positive result of interest led to earnings before taxes from -0.07 million Euro after 0.19 million Euro in the prior year. Net income for the quarter amounted to -0.07 million Euro after 0.20 million Euro in the prior year. Accordingly, earnings per share decreased from 0.02 Euro to -0.01 Euro.
Large incoming orders in the third quarter 2006/07 led to that the order backlog significantly increased during the quarter and with 5.1 million Euro reached a new high. For the fourth quarter 2006/07, Management - based on the order situation - expects the strongest quarterly growth of the current fiscal year and the strongest improvement in results when compared to the prior year. For total fiscal year 2006/07 it is expected that revenues will range between 9.5 and 10.0 million EUR with a clear positive net income.
