Solar-Fabrik sales surge, fabs running full steam

Solar-Fabrik´s sales initiative has yielded great success, and as a result all production sites are currently fully loaded. Furthermore, extra work shifts were implemented to satisfy the soaring demand for solar modules "made in Germany".
The sales initiative was kicked off as a reaction to weak sales in the first quarter 2009 and has resulted in fast growth to a constantly high level since mid year. A major part of the success is driven by the outstanding quality guaranteed for by the top-of-the-line "made in Germany" products. This has also led to more than 100 new production jobs created in Freiburg and viably supports Solar-Fabrik´s German production strategy.
The key to efficiency and productivity is the newly built fab 3, the most modern module production facility in Europe. With 3 shifts a day as a standard, management and workers´ representatives have agreed to run additional week end shifts in order to maximize utilization and adjust capacity further to demand. This further supports a successful business prospect for Solar-Fabrik.
