New: Hotspot Office with 700 Hotspots in Switzerland and the Orange
SPV M2000
Offering Hotspot Office Public WLAN access at
over 700 Hotspots across Switzerland, an integrated QUERTZ keyboard,
landscape-format presentation, four additional keys that can be
programmed for your favourite applications, versions in German and
French, and much more besides - the Orange SPV M2000 PDA Smartphone
is a first for Switzerland and has lots of new features in store.
Although the SPV M2000 is not out until the beginning of November,
the Orange Hotspot Office Public WLAN offer is already available.
Orange continues to forge ahead with the success of its SPV
Smartphones. Just like its predecessors, the SPV M2000 has everything
you could possibly need to work efficiently while on the move: text
and voice functions, Pocket Outlook, Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, PDF
and Powerpoint Viewer, as well as many other applications and
functions.
Mobile working is now even more practical and efficient with the
Orange SPV M2000 thanks to high-speed access to the Internet via
Public WLAN. Orange, together with its partners Monzoon, TPN and
TheNet is offering fast mobile Internet access at over 700 Public
WLAN-Hotspots.
The Orange Hotspot Office can be used just as easily with the
Orange SPV M2000 as with a laptop equipped with an integrated or
external WLAN card.
Orange customers can sign up for Hotspot Office by sending a free
SMS indicating "START PWLAN" to short code 1555. There is no monthly
fee. As soon as the customer is online, use of the Public WLAN will
be charged at CHF 0.50 per minute for the first 200 minutes,. Once
the amount of CHF 100.- has been reached, any further use in the same
month is free. The corresponding charge is conveniently added to the
monthly mobile phone bill. That means no more complicated, costly
payments by credit card.
Via Public WLAN, the SPV M2000 makes it possible to send and
receive e-mails with hefty attachments quickly and easily, even
during a phone conversation. The ability to view contents on screen
in a landscape format makes surfing the Internet for example , even
more enjoyable. Mobile data synchronisation with a business server is
also possible any time, any place.
