EANS-News: Saxony-Anhalt has awarded the contract for a state-wide personnel management system to P&I

The contract for the Ministry of Finance of Saxony-Anhalt, has a volume of over 5 million euros and is thus the third largest contract that the Wiesbaden-based personnel software expert has ever landed. Together with its successful project in the State of Lower Saxony as well as the one for the state administration and police in the State of Brandenburg, this contract confirms to P&I AG once again that it has software products and a consulting organisation that meet the high quality requirements of a state administrative body.

Thus, yet another state administration has decided in favour of a solution from one of Germany´s leading special providers of human resources management systems. By deciding in favour of a specialist with a centralised approach, the State of Saxony-Anhalt has selected an economically efficient solution that ensures top performance and is easy to operate, because the personnel administration for roughly 60,000 employees is extremely complex. Vasilios Triadis, the CEO of P&I AG, comments: "At the latest as of this contract, it is clear that - in cases where a centralised solution is required for reasons of complexity - the software of P&I AG is an alternative that has to be taken extremely seriously for future decisions in the area of personnel management."
The software that will be used for this project - P&I PLUS - fulfils all of the requirements that a state administration places on personnel management software, including the requirements of the teachers´ administration body and the police. In Saxony-Anhalt P&I´s software will be used to support the areas of personnel administration, development, planning and supplementary training, position administration, position budgeting, administration of personnel expenditures as well as personnel cost extrapolation.
The project is due to start on September 1st, 2009, and the objective is to realise the "model pilot" stage after only nine months. After another six months, it will then be expanded into a "large scale pilot" project with the aim of subsequently putting the system into operation throughout the state successively by way of a roll-out process. The total duration of the project is scheduled to be 18 months.
The standard P&I PLUS software that P&I is providing for the purpose is one of the most convenient and innovative web-based personnel management solutions in the market. Information can be distributed to specialist administrators quickly and in a targeted manner via a standardised platform. Furthermore, the integration of employees into administrative activities through employee self-services ensures that some of the burden on the personnel administration is alleviated.
