merger, acquisition and takeover
DSA is one of the leading Austrian suppliers
of integrated business software. The spin-off of the human resources
management business division of the JET PABIS NG software is being
realised for strategic reasons. P&I GmbH in Vienna is a subsidiary
company of P&I AG, which is based in Germany and which is one of the
leading suppliers of HR management software in Europe - with over
3,000 customers in all business sectors. P&I is striving to become
the market leader for HR management software in Austria by means of
this takeover. "By taking over the HR management software of DSA, P&I
is taking a decisive step towards achieving the market leadership for
personnel software in Austria. On the one hand, it will lead to
interesting synergy effects for P&I in the software development
area," says Vasilios Triadis, the CEO of P&I AG, Wiesbaden. "On the
other hand, we have gained 450 strategic customers in the SME area
and the public administration sector."
Through the takeover of the software, P&I has also taken over the
obligations resulting from software maintenance contracts with
existing customers. P&I will not have any problem guaranteeing this
because it is also taking over the relevant DSA employees.
"Furthermore, P&I will be gaining a highly attractive staff of
employees with a high level of specialist knowledge and an excellent
understanding of the human resources processes that have to be
mapped," remarks Triadis.
"For existing customers, the incorporation of the solution into the
P&I portfolio will be a guarantee for further competent functional as
well as technological development of the software," states Markus
Berndt, the CEO of Data Systems Austria AG & Co KG.
The parties have agreed to maintain secrecy with respect to the
amount of the purchase price.
