Corporate Press Release
New Opportunity in the Eastern European online market Partnership
between Goldbach Media and Facebook Zurich/Kusnacht, January 12th,
2010. ARBOinteractive Group, a subsidiary of Goldbach Media is
entering into a strategic relationship with Facebook in Eastern
Europe . The relationship includes the sales and handling of
advertising to agencies and advertisers in Poland and the Czech
Republic for Facebook. "Eastern Europe is an important region for
us," states Blake Chandlee, Head of Sales for Facebook in Eastern
Europe, "and that's why we chose ARBOinteractive, which is one of the
leading companies in the online advertising market. ARBOinteractive
has a great deal of experience in cooperating with the largest
international advertisers and networks. ARBOinteractive will make it
possible for these companies and brands to communicate directly to
their customers in Facebook." ARBOinteractive will sell Engagement
ads that run on the homepage as well as marketplace ads that run on
other pages on Facebook. Engagement ads allow people to interact
with ads in the same way they do with other content on Facebook by
becoming a fan of a brand, commenting on a video or registering for
an event. When someone responds to an Engagement ad, it may create a
story in their friends' News Feed. This additional distribution
extends an advertiser's campaign through organic impressions across
Facebook.
"Primarily offered for Facebook shall be advertising forms that boost
the involvement of Facebook users and which go far beyond the sales
of customary display advertising," explains Marcin Wozniak, CEO of
ARBOmedia AG: "This enables advertising advertisers and agencies to
completely reorient their strategy for reaching online customers.
Users can choose whether they wish to enter into dialogue with the
client. Facebook is a medium in which communication between its
participants is highly valued; this mindset and behavior also
benefits advertisers in the form of feedback to what they offer".
