Matthias Graf von Armansperg Named Sales & Marketing Director, Europe, for Elemica: Leading Global Network for Chemicals

Elemica, a neutral network founded by
some of the world's leading chemical companies to serve the global
chemical industry, today named Matthias Graf von Armansperg sales &
marketing director, Europe for Elemica. Von Armansperg will be
responsible for leading Elemica's recently appointed European
business development team and guiding their efforts to support client
needs within global markets.
According to Bertrand Petit, chief operating officer for Elemica
Europe, "Von Armansperg  brings Elemica more than 10 years of
chemicals industry experience in sales, marketing and product
management functions. He also played an instrumental role in the
conception and formation of Elemica during the last year as a
delegate from BASF to Elemica.  His understanding of Elemica's
business goals and long-term strategy is evident and necessary for
guiding our business development team in Europe."
As director of plastics sales to the automotive industry in
Europe, von Armansperg established the first pan-European key account
organization within BASF and piloted the crossborder implementation
of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Most recently, he served
in the BASF marketing consultancy and focused on product sales,
marketing and positioning strategies in Europe, Asia and the United
Before joining BASF, von Armansperg worked as a consultant for
Booz Allen & Hamilton Inc., Düsseldorf, where he was responsible for
the reorganization of the European sales division of a leading
chemical company, the diversification strategy for an energy and
engineering firm and the market entry strategy for a company in the
table and giftware industry.
Von Armansperg is a Hanns-Seidel Scholar and received an MBA from
INSEAD University in Fountainebleau, France. Additionally, he is a
University of Miami Fulbright Scholar in environmental engineering
and completed several postgraduate training courses in management and
international studies.
