CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Jersey, 2 August, 2010: Atrium European Real Estate Limited ("Atrium"
or the "Company") (ATX/Euronext: ATRS), one of the leading real 
estate companies focused on shopping centre investment, management 
and development in Central and Eastern Europe, announces the 
appointment of Jörg Banzhaf as Chief Investment Officer. In his role 
at Atrium, Mr Banzhaf will be responsible for the management and 
co-ordination of Atrium's planned investment programme as the Company
continues to seek out opportunities for growth.
With 20 years of experience in the real estate and construction 
industries, for the last ten years Mr Banzhaf has concentrated on 
investing in, developing and managing European shopping centres, 
primarily in Central and Eastern Europe.
From 2000 to mid 2010, Mr Banzhaf worked for ECE Projektmanagement 
G.m.b.H. & Co. KG ("ECE"), a European market leader in the management
and development of inner city shopping centers, his latest position 
was managing director and board member. At ECE, Mr Banzhaf was 
responsible for shopping mall developments in Germany, as well as 
managing ongoing activities in Central and Eastern Europe.
From 1992 to 1999 Mr Banzhaf was with Arcadis Homola AG, one of the 
leading German project management companies and quantity surveyors, 
where he was responsible for its international subsidiaries, 
including those in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Poland, 
becoming a managing director and partner in 1996. Previously, Mr 
Banzhaf worked for Philipp Holzmann AG, a leading German construction
company.
Mr Banzhaf, aged 48, has a postgraduate degree in economic studies 
and a civil engineering degree from the Technical University of 
Cologne.  He is also member of the ICSC, ULI and a professional 
advisor to Graduate School Birberach for International Real Estate 
Management MBA.
Commenting on the appointment Rachel Lavine, CEO of Atrium, said: "As
we have stated previously, the acquisition of shopping centres is a 
key driver of growth for Atrium.  We believe that Jörg's experience 
in this field and across Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in 
Poland and Czech Republic, will be invaluable to this process.  I am

working with him as we continue to build Atrium into the market 
leading operator and developer of supermarket anchored shopping 
centres in Central and Eastern Europe."
