Graz, 9 October, 2006.  The Supervisory Board of Andritz AG approved
changes in the Managing Board of Andritz AG.  After 15 years on the
Board, Bernhard Rebernik will - on reaching the age of 65 - resign
from the Managing Board effective end of March 2007 and move into
retirement.  With expiration of his mandate in December 2006, Markku
Hanninen - on the Board since 2002 - will also resign as member of
the Andritz Managing Board and become Member of the Supervisory Board
of the Finish subsidiary Andritz Oy.  Bernhard Rebernik and Markku
Hanninen have contributed extraordinarily to the favorable
development of Pulp and Paper, Andritz Group’s largest Business Area.
Karl Hornhofer and Humbert Koefler, who have served as Andritz
Divisional Managers for many years, were appointed new members of the
Andritz Managing Board from January respectively April 2007.
Focus on Capital Equipment and Service In order to continuously
better fulfill the expectations of Andritz’s customers the Pulp and
Paper Business Area will be organized into two segments: Capital
Equipment (responsibility: Karl Hornhofer) and Service
(responsibility: Humbert Koefler).  The goal is to further improve
coordination between different product groups and benefit from
opportunities in local service markets.

Professional careers of Karl Hornhofer and Humbert Köfler:
Karl Hornhofer, who has been a member of the successful Andritz team
for many years, is currently heading the Pulp & Paper Machines
Division (Pulp Drying Lines, Tissue Machines) of the Pulp and Paper
Business Area.  After having joined the Pulp Technology Division in
1996, he has played a major role in the successful development of the
sheet drying product group.  Mr. Hornhofer has contributed to several
important product innovations, and in 2006 took over responsibility
also for the Tissue Machines Division.
Humbert Koefler joined the Andritz Group in 1987.  Since 2005, he has
been responsible for the Paper Mill Services Division.  Prior to this
function he successfully managed the Mechanical Pulping Systems
Division and developed it into one of the world’s leading suppliers
of mechanical pulping systems for the Pulp & Paper industries and
fiber systems for the production of MDF boards.
