FAST Enterprise Search Platform (FAST ESP) Adds Key Capabilities to TietoEnator's Digitalizing Framework

Oslo, Norway (ots/PRNewswire)

- Partnership Integrates FAST's Powerful Enterprise Search
Platform with TietoEnator's Information Management Solutions
Fast Search & Transfer(TM) (FAST(TM)), the leading developer of
enterprise search and real-time alerting technologies, today
announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with
TietoEnator, the largest IT services company in the Nordic region.
As part of this partnership, FAST will integrate its enterprise
search platform (FAST ESP(TM)) into the TietoEnator Digitalizing
Framework to enhance existing functionality in the areas of content
management, document management and portal solutions.
TietoEnator's best concepts, solutions, and working practices,
along with the latest technological innovations of technology
partners, such as FAST, are being brought together in the Repository
portal of Digitalizing Framework. Furthermore, Digitalizing Framework
includes a testing environment called Reality Laboratory, where
TietoEnator's customers can test how well its technology partners'
products can be integrated with, and adapted to their digital
self-service solutions.
By developing standardized solutions that address common business
issues, such as increasing online revenues or enabling collaboration
between internal departments, TietoEnator is developing streamlined
information management systems that allow companies to concentrate
more on their core business rather than on managing complex IT
projects. By partnering with best-of-breed technology solution
providers such as FAST, TietoEnator can offer its customers a digital
services platform based on tried and tested software solutions.
"The integration of FAST's platform with the Digitalizing
Framework brings TietoEnator a critical step closer to fulfilling its
vision of enabling operational efficiencies for customers by
streamlining information management and communications solutions. The
enterprise search platform enable users to quickly find the relevant
information they need within company systems," said Michael Wittwer,
General Manager, TietoEnator Digital Innovation, DFS.
"FAST ESP has become a key enabler in bringing disparate data
sources together into a single point of information access for
enterprises. We are very pleased to be working with TietoEnator as a
key part of its Digitalizing Framework Solution, as both our
companies are clearly focused on new ways to improve the end-user
digital experience, whether that is within the company network or on
the public Internet," said Ali I. Riaz, FAST's chief operating
officer. "In addition to providing TietoEnator with the best
enterprise search solutions for their Digitalizing Framework project,
this partnership also enables FAST to further expand its global
customer reach."
FAST has transformed enterprise search from a powerful, yet
narrowly perceived function, into an enterprise-wide strategic and
tactical capability of pivotal importance. FAST ESP and FAST's
portfolio of solutions and SDAs supply a complete information
retrieval solution ideal for a growing number of key vertical markets
and applications including e-Commerce and Internet Portals, Financial
Services; Government; Life Sciences; Media and Publishing; and
