Pay your Orange bill in just three easy clicks!

ePayment: Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP)
As of October 2003, all Orange customers who have
a yellow PostFinance account will be able to pay their Orange bills
simply and comfortably via the Internet in just three clicks. This is
the final component of the Orange electronic information and
transaction offer for customers with a fixed Price Plan.
A secure Internet connection has been available to all Orange
customers for some time now offering information on available
services, outstanding talk time and talk time already used and even
SIM card status. Orange customers even have the possibility to
download contact data from their online address book to their SIM
card via the portal site www.orangeworld.ch.
And thanks to this brand new opportunity to pay Orange bills
online in just three simple clicks without entering any of the bill
information - not even the reference number - Orange has now
completed its invoicing services offer.
PostFinance solution
PostFinance, the financial services section of the Swiss Post
Office, has designed a special system of 'yellow bills', enabling
account holders to use standard electronic invoicing from bill
presentment right through to payment. This system is advantageous for
both the issuer of the bill and the customer: the bill can be sent
out in electronic format via the Internet and customers can settle
all outstanding amounts in the comfort of their own homes in just
three simple clicks. The bonus of this system in comparison to online
banking is that it is no longer necessary to enter the bill
information manually - it is prepared and provided by the issuer.
Yellowbill has enormous potential. Today, of a total of over two
million account holders, some 370,000 use more than 650'000 online
accounts, placing PostFinance in the number 1 position for online
banking throughout Switzerland.
"Orange offers simple, customer-friendly services in all areas of
mobile communications and we were eager to extend this to bill
payment," explains Fabrice Allegro, Strategy & Planning Director with
Orange Switzerland, "This type of electronic bill presentment and
payment will offer utmost security for almost all payment
transactions made by consumers. A host of well-known businesses are
already connected to the Post Office's EBPP network and this trend is
set to continue."
