BKW acquires ahochn
BKW enters building technology planning market

Bern (ots)

BKW has acquired the antec group ag in Rotkreuz, one of Switzerland's leading building technology planning groups. In doing so, it is closing the last gap in the complete value chain for building technology services. The 40 highly specialised employees working under the ahochn brand will help to strengthen BKW's know-how and experience in this field.

With its two operating companies, ahochn AG in Dübendorf (ZH) und ahochn AG in Rotkreuz (ZG), the antec group has become one of Switzerland's leading planning groups in the field of building technology since it was set up in 2006. ahochn is a professional full service provider for everything to do with buildings and energy and offers its customers innovative building technology solutions that are not only economical and environmentally friendly, but also functional, reliable, flexible and sustainable. This is demonstrated for example by projects such as the Allianz high-rise building in Wallisellen, the new major research facility at the Paul Scherrer Institute and the Mall of Switzerland, which is currently under construction and which is set to be Central Switzerland's largest shopping centre.

"We would like to welcome Fabio Cella, his partners and employees to the BKW family" says Renato Sturani, member of the BKW Executive Board. "Together, BKW and ahochn will be able to offer customers complete solutions covering energy consulting, design and engineering, right up to project implementation in the field of building energy efficiency. Given the increasing complexity due to the interaction of new technologies, this will open up new market opportunities for both BKW and ahochn."

This acquisition marks a further important step for BKW in the implementation of its strategy to become Switzerland's leading energy and infrastructure service provider. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value.
