La Repubblica Ceca si aggiunge alla rosa dei partner di Starmap Mobile Alliance con la compagnia telefonica Eurotel

Starmap Mobile Alliance ha comunicato lingresso immediato di Eurotel tra i suoi membri. L'alleanza, di cui fa parte anche sunrise, comprende ora undici importanti operatori indipendenti, con una base di oltre 53 milioni di utenti, che forniscono servizi vocali e di trasmissione dati attraverso la rete mobile.
Lobiettivo di Starmap Mobile Alliance è di estendere la propria copertura e presenza ad aree geografiche chiave e continuare a offrire nuovi vantaggi agli utenti. Eurotel, il più importante operatore della Repubblica Ceca per quanto riguarda servizi vocali e di trasmissione dati wireless, entrerà a far parte dellalleanza e godrà degli stessi diritti degli altri dieci partner. L'operatore inizierà subito a collaborare con gli altri membri relativamente a iniziative di roaming, di acquisti di beni e servizi, di vendita e di marketing, e contribuirà a consolidare il marchio favorendo la strategia di Starmap Mobile Alliance con i propri prodotti e servizi chiave.

Pannon GSM, owned 100% by Telenor Mobile Norway, had by the end of 2003 approximately 36% share of the Hungarian mobile market, where the penetration exceeds 78%. Pannon GSM for already 10 years offers wide range of telecommunication services to customers from individual consumers to large size companies as well. Services can be voice or data services (for example HSCSD), based on dual-band GSM (900 and 1800), GPRS and recently EDGE technology. By the end of January 2004, the company had GSM roaming agreements with 271 mobile operators in 111 countries.
