On 22 April 2010, the public prosecutor´s office in Klagenfurt issued
a warrant for the arrest of Dr. Wolfgang Auer-Welsbach, member of AvW
Invest AG´s Management Board. Subsequently, Dr. Auer-Welsbach was 
arrested on the afternoon of 23 April 2010. The investigations 
initiated against Dr. Auer-Welsbach are based, inter alia, on 
suspicions of fraud, corruption and offences under financial criminal
law. The arrest was justified on the basis of the suspect posing a 
flight risk, the risk of evidence being destroyed and the possibility
of further crimes being committed.
