MILTON KEYNES, UK and UTRECHT, The Netherlands, September 20, 2011 (ots/PRNewswire) -- YourCash, one of Europe's leading independent providers of ATM solutions, and European payment processor Equens have launched a new ATM service for supermarkets in Belgium. After a successful rollout in the UK and the Netherlands, YourCash has now introduced its 'merchant fill proposition' in Belgium, having secured a number of key pilot sites with supermarket chains and franchises of AD Delhaize, Alvo and Intermarche.
Via YourCash's ATM service, cardholders can easily withdraw their money in non-bank locations across Belgium. In-store ATMs offer substantial advantages, such as the reduction of costs for cash banking, and improved customer service. For the pilot, YourCash and Equens will be acquiring Maestro cards. The YourCash Belgium ATM proposition will include a well-established, high-speed GPRS-enabled machine, with free set-up and high-quality service and maintenance packages.
Michel Stuijt, General Manager of Market Management at Equens: "The partnership with YourCash fits perfectly with our market approach. We are already processing card and payment transactions in Belgium. This collaboration with YourCash is therefore a logical next step in further strengthening our position. Besides the Netherlands and Italy, Belgium is the third country where Equens offers this service. We have every confidence that the collaboration marks the start of a successful rollout in Europe.
Lee Middleton, Director of Business Development at YourCash commented: "We are very excited with our entry into this market. As the only independent ATM provider to enter Belgium, our innovative proposition enables us to introduce ATMs into locations that are completely new to local cardholders, allowing convenient access to their cash. We are equally pleased to be working with Equens during this new development, as we have an established relationship in the Netherlands and we are confident that Equens will meet our international payment processing requirements in Belgium."
YourCash is one of Europe's leading independent providers of ATM solutions and only the second, non-financial institution to obtain a principal member MasterCard(R) licence for ATM acquiring in Europe. YourCash deploys approximately 6,000 ATMs in the UK, in convenience stores, universities, hospitals, military barracks, post offices, leisure outlets and petrol forecourts. 34% of the YourCash UK estate is now Free-to-Use and accounts for 75% of our overall transactions handled in the UK. YourCash is the only independent ATM provider in the Netherlands with over 720 Free-to-Use ATMs deployed primarily in major supermarkets. In 2010, the overall business handled 62 million ATM transactions equating to GBP1.8 billion cash dispensed through the UK estate and EUR789 million in the Netherlands.
YourCash has plans to expand its international proposition across Europe, by introducing high-speed ATM terminals, wireless technology and branding licences to offer our business partners a unique ATM service proposition for their customers.
Equens SE is one of the largest payment processors in Europe, leading the market for future-proof payment and card solutions.
