Notification of Major Interest in Shares

Harlem One B.V. informed us on 3 April 2008 that it has disposed 
18.562% of shares in Air Berlin PLC on 1 April 2008. Harlem One B.V 
is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vata Capital B.V., which is a 
wholly-owned subsidiary of Vatas Holding GmbH which, in turn, is a 
wholly owned subsidiary of Sapinda KG, a German limited partnership. 
Sapinda GmbH is a limited partner with 100% control of Sapinda KG. 
Sapinda GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sapinda Limited, which 
is wholly owned by Robert Hersov.
On the basis of information provided by Haarlem One B.V., an 
institutional investor has agreed to acquire shares in the same 
amount.
