Spine Specialists meet at the international EuroSpine 2011 congress in Milan
Milan, Italy (ots) - The European congress for spine therapy, -surgery and orthopaedics will take place in Milan, Italy from 19-21 October and will attract numerous medical experts and industry specialists from around the globe. Thousands of participants will exchange their profound knowledge about latest research results, technologies and methods of treatment.
EuroSpine - The Spine Society of Europe, endorses the DECADE OF ACTION FOR ROAD SAFETY campaign ( www.decadeofaction.org ) initiated by the United Nations and coordinated by the World Health Organization (WHO), launched worldwide in 2011.
Road traffic injuries are predicted to become the fifth leading cause of deaths by 2030, resulting in 2.4 million fatalities a year. Members of the EuroSpine Society by virtue, deal with the consequences of road traffic accidents. Spinal traumas provoked by traffic collisions are one of the major reasons for spinal cord injuries and related problems. Academic societies such as EuroSpine are primarily dedicated to teaching and promoting the best standards of practice in treating patients suffering from spinal cord injuries due to road traffic accidents.
During this year's congress an international press conference will take place on 19 October 2011 at the Milan Congress Center (MiCo), where renowned spine experts will answer the questions of interested media representatives.
