The "Top 25 German E-Learning Companies" -
this ranking was recently published by the MMB Institute for Media
and Competence Research. CompuGroup Medical, the e-health company
with some of the most extensive coverage of medical service providers
worldwide, is not only listed in the "Top 25 German E-Learning
Companies". With their e-learning program, CGM Inmedea, the company
is also the provider with the strongest sales, with regard to
specialization strictly in the medical sector.
Despite the financial crisis in 2009, the e-learning sector is
continuing its growth, according to the results of the MMB e-learning
industry rankings for 2010. The industry volume for the estimated 250
German e-learning companies was right at 346 million euros for 2009,
which is a 5% increase compared to 2008.
CGM Inmedea works with the simulation of clinical processes via
virtual patients. The graphics provide all of the options of a modern
hospital. Only internet access and a browser are needed for access to
CGM Inmedea. Users diagnose and treat virtual patients in various
specialized hospital departments and decisions are made just like in
real life situations. An integrated expert system provides feedback
about the best way to proceed and the use of resources. Topics that
are relevant to the medical practice are not only worked on
theoretically, but are actively conveyed through the virtual patient.
Registered users can visit 12 patients online at:
