Expansion of Zurich 2 IXDatacenter and completion of Telehouse (Suisse) acquisition forms market-leading IXEurope (Switzerland) AG
IXEurope, Europe's specialist datacenter services company, has today announced that, following the successful acquisition of Telehouse (Suisse) SA, the Group's Swiss operations have been merged to form a new subsidiary - IXEurope (Switzerland) AG. The Swiss company now comprises three highly sophisticated and secure datacenters - the new one in Geneva joining the existing two in Zurich.
IXEurope, which provides mission-critical infrastructure support to companies such as Google, Migros, Sunrise and Savvis, also announced that it has extended its Zurich 2 IXDatacenter, only 18 months after it opened the facility. Since Zurich 1 and 2 are currently fully occupied, the expansion - which will extend IXEurope's presence by 66% - will accommodate continued growth with existing customers and new clients, as well as allowing IXEurope to invest in upgraded security and power infrastructure. Zurich 2 now offers two fully separate power systems for a truly N+N power configuration option.
