Changes to conwert´s Administrative Board: Chairman Günter Kerbler
resigns his mandate
Vienna, September 30, 2010. conwert Immobilien Invest SE announced
today that Günter Kerbler, Chairman of the Administrative Board, will
leave the Administrative Board effective at the end of the
Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on October 11, 2010. Günter
Kerbler is resigning his position on the Administrative Board for
personal reasons and of his own accord. However, Günter Kerbler will
continue to be available to serve the company in an advisory
capacity. The real estate and finance expert Franz Pruckner and
Johannes Meran have been nominated as candidates for election to the
Administrative Board.
"A company such as conwert which has so successfully overcome the
turbulences affecting the business world in the last two years is
well managed and rightly positioned on the marketplace", said
Administrative Board Chairman Günter Kerbler. "We have continually
increased our clout to meet the challenges of the future. Today
conwert features a strong management team and high caliber employees,
an absolutely top-notch real estate portfolio, which will enable a
further rise in earnings and value enhancement as well as a core
shareholder supporting the implementation of our growth strategy. It
was not an easy decision at all for me. However, after 30 years of
work helping to build the foundations for the company´s success, I
believe it is now time to resign my position on the Administrative
Board with a clear conscience towards all shareholders. I always
planned to retire from all management and supervisory functions in
the company at the age of 55. I have full confidence in the ability
of my current colleagues on the Administrative Board and those who
have to be elected to successfully shape the future of conwert. I am
pleased to have the opportunity to serve as a consultant for
individual projects should the need arise", he added. Günter Kerbler
will continue to be an indirect shareholder in conwert by means of
his investment in the consortium led by Petrus Advisers. "I am
looking forward to the new era and a good cooperation", Günter
Kerbler concluded.
The Administrative Board and Executive Board regretfully accepted the
resignation of Günter Kerbler. CEO Johann Kowar said: "We would like
to thank sincerely Günter Kerbler for his longstanding and extremely
successfully work as a member of the Executive Board, Member of the
Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Administrative Board. Under his
leadership, the company succeeded in making the transformation to an
international and modern residential property group which is
optimally prepared for the future".
Johannes Meran and Franz Pruckner have been nominated as candidates
for election to the Administrative Board at the Extraordinary General
Meeting scheduled for October 11, 2010. Johannes Meran is a founding
partner of Petrus Advisers LLP. Franz Pruckner is Chairman of the
Management Board of the bank Sparkasse Waldviertel-Mitte Bank AG.
