Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S., one of Suisse Tunc Holding subsidiaries, has signed distributorship agreements related to renewable energy sources with China International Holdings Co. Ltd. and Macro Solar Technology Co. Ltd.. In the context of so called Tunc-Solar Project business development, marketing and technical department of Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. have been working for several months to prepare the termination of these agreements. The project started in September 2007. Its purpose is the entry in the market of renewable energy sources, especially wind and solar energy.
In December 2007 the contract between Big China International Holdings Co. Ltd. (8-306, Dingtaifenghua Community, Qianhai Road, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China) was signed. Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. is now exclusive distributor for Turkey for the next twelve month. The contract with Macro Solar Technology Co. Ltd. (No: 138 Caoqiao Town Pinghu Zhejiang, China) about the purchase of solar products for sample purposes within one year was concluded in January 2008. Both agreements will be extended to an additional duration of 24 month in case of an effective collaboration.
The aim of Tunc-Solar Project is to distribute solar driven street, park and garden lamps, traffic lights and solar panels. There is a clear market potential for there are more than five million street lights in Turkey. Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S.´ expectation is to become a solution partner for many municipalities in Turkey within this year.
According to the opinion of Ceyhun Coskun, business development and marketing specialist, Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. will be able to expand its activities in the sector of renewable energy to the countries where Tunc Holding´s subsidiaries operate.
Tunc Holding AG has been founded in November 2007 and provides through its seven subsidiaries engineering and support services in the area of telecommunications systems. The Tunc Holding subsidiaries are active in eleven countries in Asia Minor, Western and Central Asia as well as in Eastern Europe. Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. as operational nerve centre of the group is located in Ankara, Turkey. The Turkish subsidiary operates as highly qualified provider in the GSM sector since 1992. The broad range of services includes from site survey and infrastructure to the erection and maintenance of telecommunications systems. Since 1996, the activities have been continuously expanded to include the area of electricity distribution systems with associated services, renewable energy and internet technology.
