Roding, 22nd March 2011 - Mühlbauer Technology Group, leading global system partner for the complete technology and know-how transfer for the production of electronic ID documents, announces that it has been awarded for a national ID card project. As fully responsible project partner to a government institution for the planned issuance of ID cards over five years Mühlbauer provides the complete system for the creation of a central population data base including the data capturing and personalization as well as all process steps and consumables with respect to the card body production. Depending on the volume of cards issued the solution provider assumes that the value of the order will exceed 20 Million US-Dollar.
As an independent partner Mühlbauer is already involved in more than 300 ID projects and supports numerous governments and public authorities in implementing innovative ID documents assuring full responsibility. As in-house developer and manufacturer of the complete range of hardware and software systems, the customer especially benefits from the solution provider´s technological and market know-how of more than 30 years ranging from the enrolment of personal data, also biometric data, and the production and personalization of custom-made ID documents such as ID cards and ePassports to fully automatic access controls.
