Minsk/Vienna (euro adhoc) - 28 June 2013 - The Electronic Tolling System
implemented by Kapsch TrafficCom in Belarus will start technical operations on 1
July 2013. This will be followed by the electronic charging, the commercial
operations, on 1 August 2013. Until that date, the existing system will remain.
Kapsch and the Belarusian Ministry of Transport and Communications agreed that
road users will be able to obtain registration and the required on-board unit at
the designated customer service points within this period of time. This will
avoid long queues and congestions at the border stations.

Kapsch TrafficCom received the order for the implementation and operation of a

system is based on dedicated short-range communication and operations are
scheduled for a period of 20 years.
