CompuGROUP Holding AG, a leading  European eHealth company, reports 
the expansion of  the  group's  management  board:  The supervisory 
board has appointed Professor Dr. med.  Stefan  F.  Winter  a  board 
member of CompuGROUP, effective from October 16, 2008. The 
forty-eight year  old Stefan F. Winter  will  be  specifically  
responsible  for  product  management, product development and 
research  with  a  focus  on  medical  decision  support systems.
Until the middle of August 2008, Professor Dr. med. Stefan Winter has
worked  as State Secretary of the Ministry for Labor, Health  and  
Social  Affairs  of  the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia. 
Between 1992 and 2005, the  physician  and molecular biologist  has  
held  various  managerial  positions  at  the  Federal Ministry of 
Health. Among others,  he  also  managed  the  "Prevention,  Disease 
Control and Biomedicine" department.
Similarly, Professor Winter possesses comprehensive experience in  
international healthcare politics and has  numerous  scientific  
contacts  abroad.  From  1992 until 2004, he was a member of the 
European Steering  Committee  for  Biomedical Ethics at the Council 
of Europe. In addition he has worked as an advisor of  the World 
Health Organization (WHO) since 2000.
