Agritechnica - the world's premier farm machinery show - just gets bigger and better
Frankfurt (ots) - Europe's leading agricultural event - Agritechnica - will be bigger than ever this year.
- More exhibitors + larger area = more visitors
- Expansion reflects diversity and buoyancy in agriculture
- Focus on key areas of innovations, soil and climate issues,
bio-energy and used machinery trade
Due to take place in Hanover from 13th to 17th November (preview 11/12th), the world's largest exhibition of agricultural machinery has recorded its highest number of exhibitors since it started 22 years ago.
Agritechnica 2007 all-time highs:
1800 exhibitors (500 new) 40% international exhibitors 35% bigger area - 16 halls covering 28ha (70acres) Over 250,000 visitors expected
The show's record growth reflects the current buoyancy in the world agricultural economy.
"Agritechnica is recognised by both manufacturers and farmers as the platform where significant new developments are launched," points out Agritechnica's project manager Tobias Eichberg.
"That is reflected in the number of major innovations which premier at the event - this year we expect an even greater number of products making their debut."
Every global and pan-European agricultural machinery company will
be represented at the exhibition. Expect to see more products from
countries such as Turkey, Italy, Spain and the UK. As well as its
worldwide influence, Agritechnica is a particular springboard to
eastern and central Europe.
"Agricultural equipment producers report major benefits from presenting innovations and solutions to the targeted customer audience which attends the show," points out Eichberg.
"Independent surveys reveal that visitor numbers are made up of business-oriented farmers, contractors, machinery rings and dealers from all over the world."
As well as the usual lines of machinery exhibits and innovations, this year there will be a particular focus on:
- Climate change and soil conservation "world soil and tillage
- International Seed Congress
- The Association of German Engineers (VDI) international
- European Wheat event
- Central and east European conference
