MedifyRemote Live Date Confirmed

Gateshead, England (ots/PRNewswire)

Medify Solutions Limited
(Pink Sheets: MFYS) confirms the scheduled go-live date for
MedifyRemote to its NHS customers is 1st September 2006. Executive
Chairman Jonathan Bryant said, "The confirmation of the go live date
for MedifyRemote is an announcement we have all been waiting for -
significant projected revenue, seats and profit realised. With the
new product, in-house managed service and the share dividend
qualification date announced for this month, this is especially good
news for all associated with Medify. To be involved with a company
that has a vision and sees that vision become a reality is something
we should all be proud of." MedifyRemote is the first application
that allows secure remote access to a patient's record through a
Pocket PC. This solution is not specific to any single clinical data
system, but applicable to all the NHS/Healthcare software systems in
any healthcare market.
The relevance
In 2000 the UK Government published the NHS Plan that set out a
major programme of investment and reform to modernise the NHS. The
new IT infrastructure will connect more than 100,000 doctors, 380,000
nurses and 50,000 other healthcare professionals. An important
element of this modernising plan (Connecting for Health) is to ensure
that all patient records will be held electronically and be
accessible on a secure basis across the NHS network to deliver better
quality care for patients. The budget for this programme is circa GBP
30 billion.
In 2003/04 there were:
    1.4 million NHS employees
325 million consultations with GPs or nurses in primary care
    13.3 million outpatient consultations
5.4 million people admitted to hospital for planned treatment
    4.2 million emergency admissions
6.4 million calls made to NHS Direct
