- SAF expands activities in Eastern Europe to benefit from market
growth - New relationship with SystemGroup in Moscow, Russia -
Enlargement of range of offerings of customer-centric retail
solutions - SystemGroup and SAF will be present at "Retail in
Russia", October 7th, 2008, in Moscow
Tägerwilen, September 4, 2008. SAF AG, a specialist provider of
automated ordering and replenishment systems to retailers which is
listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ISIN
CH0024848738), has made another significant step forward in its
direct sales force campaign in Eastern Europe. Following up its
recent successes in Poland and the Baltic Region, SAF expands its
network into Russia through a relationship with SystemGroup in
Moscow, Russia. The market-expert will support SAF in sales and
implementation activities for Eastern European customers.
SystemGroup is the fastest growing provider of customer-centric
retail solutions in the Russian (CIS / Commonwealth of Independent
States) markets with offices in the Ukraine and Russia. A wide range
of retailers already benefit from SystemGroup's market-leading
solutions for POS, Loss Prevention, Enterprise Resource Planning,
Supply Chain Management and Warehouse Management.
SystemGroup is an excellent partner for SAF to further develop its
growing customer base especially in Eastern Europe. "Retailers will
benefit from the completed offer for the entire demand chain and the
exceptional knowledge of retailers processes", said Sergey Khriplivy,
CEO SystemGroup Russia describing the advantages of the relationship.
"We are able to expand the product range to the entire demand chain
due to the same customer-centric approach of both companies.
Retailers recognize the advantages of forecasting and computer
generated ordering and are looking for a powerful solution", says Dr.
Andreas von Beringe, President and CEO at SAF. "Our automated
replenishment systems dramatically reduce ordering and logistic costs
and can be used together with SystemGroup's solutions". "Retailers
can achieve substantial benefits with this combined solution along
the entire supply chain", adds Udo Meyzis, Executive Vice President
Sales at SAF. The enlarged offering will be presented at "Retail in
Russia" in Moscow, October 7th, 2008.
These retail markets are particularly attractive with enormous
business potential. Russia and the Ukraine are number two and five,
on the Global Retail Development Index (GRDI) with the largest global
turnover increase (+11 percent) over the past five years. Russian
grocery retailers are enjoying high double digit (30-80 percent)
year-on-year growth.
