Financial figures at mid-year 2006
The Einhell group has developed very successful at mid-year 2006.
The group turnover rose from EUR198.2million to EUR221.0million (+11.5%) by the end of June compared to the same period last year. Turnover in the domestic market increased from EUR103.3million to EUR112.6million (+9.0%). Turnover in the EU increased by 11.1% to EUR68.2million (EUR61.4million last year). Turnover in other countries increased by 26.7% to EUR28.0million (EUR22.1million last year) and turnover in Asia increased to EUR12.2million (EUR11.4million last year).
Both product lines contributed again for this satisfactory business development. Compared to the same period last year the turnover in the division "Tools" increased by 16.0% to EUR116.6million (EUR100.5million last year). The turnover in the division "Garden and Leisure" increased by 6.9% to EUR104.4million (EUR97.7million last year).
The profit level succeeded very good at mid-year. Group profit before tax rose by 23.1% to EUR12.8million (EUR10.4million last year). The net profit increased to EUR9.0million in the first six months (EUR6.7million last year). Adjusted net profit (based on DVFA accounting standard rules) amounts to EUR8.2million (EUR6.3million last year) or EUR2.2 each share (EUR1.7 last year).
Regarding the good performance at mid-year 2006 the group management is very optimistic to reach a turnover of EUR400million to EUR420million and earnings before tax of 5.5% to 6% by year-end.
