professional career
Dr. Marc Sielemann (41) is assuming the
position of COO Operations on Nordex AG´s Management Board effective
April 1, 2009 and will be responsible for production, sourcing and
service. Prior to this, he held management positions at MAN for many
years. In one of his most recent functions, he was the managing
director of MAN Trucks in Poland and responsible for the final
assembly of heavy-duty trucks for Eastern Europe and Russia. With a
doctorate in mechanical engineering, he has a proven track record as
a production specialist with broad experience in the assembly of
production facilities. This is of particular relevance for Nordex as
it will be spending heavily over the next few years on establishing
and extending its production facilities in Germany, China and the
United States.
In March 2009, three members of Nordex AG´s Supervisory Board stepped
down. This also included the chairman of the Supervisory Board, Yves
Schmitt, who has entered retirement. He was replaced as chairman of
the Supervisory Board by Uwe Lüders, who has been CEO of L. Possehl &
Co. mbH since 2004, prior to which he held management positions at
GEA AG and Buderus AG. In addition, Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart and Dr.
Dieter G. Maier were appointed to the Supervisory Board to replace
former members Dr. Hans W. Fechner and Dr. Hans Seifert.
"On behalf of the Management Board, I would like to thank the former
members of our Supervisory Board for their constructive support and
assistance in connection with our Company´s successful expansion in
the years since its realignment," said Thomas Richterich, CEO of
Nordex AG.
