The issuer is responsible for the content of this announcement. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 09.03.2009 Sparkassen Immobilien AG acquires OMV AG's new head office and sells OMV's existing premises on Otto-Wagner-Platz Stock exchange listed Sparkassen Immobilien AG (Bloomberg: SPI.AV, Reuters: SIAG.VI) has acquired OMV AG's new head office, developed by IC Projektentwicklung, as well as the Hotel Courtyard Marriott, which is located on the same site. Sparkassen Immobilien AG has expanded its portfolio with an outstanding property benefiting from a strong, sustainable tenant with an excellent reputation. The new corporate head office of OMV AG, one the largest listed industrial companies in Austria, and Central Europe's leading oil and gas group, is on the VIERTEL ZWEI site, located between Krieau and the Exhibition Centre. The site is situated in one of Vienna's most promising office locations and benefits from immediate access to the U2 underground line as well as convenient access to the Handelskai and the motorways A4, A22 and A23. The project, with a total of 47,000 m2 of lettable space, was completed in January 2009 and won the DIVA Award in 2008. OMV AG has already taken over its new corporate head office, and will transfer its operations and employees over the coming months. At the same time, Sparkassen Immobilien AG has acquired the Hotel Courtyard Marriott, a four-star hotel located on the same site, with 251 rooms and suites. The hotel benefits from its proximity to surrounding office buildings as well as the Vienna Exhibition Centre. In parallel to the purchase of the new OMV head office, agreement was reached for the completion of the sale of the current OMV head office to BLM-IG Bauträger GmbH in the first half of 2009. The building is located at Otto- Wagner-Platz 5 in Vienna's Ninth District, close to the Altes AKH university campus and the Austrian National Bank complex. Details of the transactions, including purchase prices, were not disclosed.
