90 innovations in compactness, functionality and quality To be seen live for the first time at the "Interschutz - Der Rote Hahn" 2010
There awaits a world premiere from Rosenbauer, the sector´s leading innovator, at the world´s leading trade fair "Interschutz - Der Rote Hahn" 2010 in Leipzig - the brand-new AT. This successful vehicle concept -presented the first time in 1984 - was perfected in a professional development process by specialists and practitioners. There are no less than 90 innovations in the new AT, which, in a perfect interplay of form and function, will redefine the communal fire truck of the future. The aim of every improvement is to better support the firefighter in his work. Once again, in the new AT, a great deal of value was attached to the three basic virtues of the ideal communal fire truck: quality, compactness and functionality. Therefore, right in the development phase, FEM (Finite Element Method) was applied to calculate the maximum load bearing capacity of the components and complex function sequences were simulated to ensure the required engineering quality. Every free space in the vehicle was used to further increase the loading capacity. The new AT quite clearly provides the best ratio between loading volume and outer dimensions and in addition, its short rear projection ensures the maximum possible manoeuvrability. Everything on the new AT was trimmed for maximum performance and efficiency, and every detail optimised to ensure that the firefighter can fully and entirely concentrate on his work. The community fire truck of the future will satisfy his needs in many respects. The AT will carry out several tasks independently, many features are automated, so that in future, firefighting deployments can be even faster, safer and more efficient. The new AT is available in three basic variants: as a manoeuvrable city vehicle with a width of 2,350 mm, as a classic community fire truck between 12 and 16 t total weight as well as a "heavy duty" version with up to 18 t total weight and up to 7,500 litres of extinguishing agents on board. There are additional equipment packages available for the entire series, with which the range of functions, the safety devices, the signal and illumination devices and even the outer design can be custom-configured. Thus, a fire department can get its own personalised vehicle, which, on the one hand, can be customised to its requirements and on the other, is manufactured in top industrial quality.
