ErSol again wins Solon as a long-term client

ErSol Solar Energy AG (ErSol) supplies additional solar cells to
Solon AG. For this purpose, the two companies today signed a new
long-term contract ending in 2017. The modules that will be built as
a result of this partnership shall enable the two German solar
companies to jointly penetrate the key US market, which, in the
company’s estimation, shows the greatest growth potential for the PV
industry, alongside Southern Europe and Asia. Solon has been one of
ErSol’s main clients for some time now. The two companies already
concluded a multi-year contract with a volume of around EUR 350
million in September 2005. The new contract has a total volume of
around EUR 320 million. It is planned that ErSol will receive down
payments from Solon, which the Berlin module manufacturer will be
able to offset against subsequent payments in the form of a price
reduction when purchasing the solar cells.
