Figures for the first nine months enter positive territory. Quarterly
sales up 25 % on prior year.
Nuremberg, November 14, 2006: Third quarter 2006 sales at the TA
Triumph-Adler Group were up 14 % on the previous quarter, growing
from EUR 86.7 million to the present EUR 98.8 million. This is an
increase of almost 25 % over the EUR 79.3 sales of the same period in
the previous year. The overall solid business performance led to
sales for the first nine months growing by 10 % to EUR 273.1 million.
The specialist in Document Business efficiency generated quarterly
earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of around EUR 4.9 million.
In the nine-month period the EBIT improved from EUR 3.7 million last
year to EUR 11.2 million now, making the EBIT margin 4.1 % - more
than double the 1.5 % achieved in the same period the previous year.
The TA Triumph-Adler Group reported profits for both the quarter and
the nine-month period. A surplus of practically EUR 0.9 million was
generated in the third quarter. The surplus before minority interests
for the first nine months of fiscal year 2006 comes to EUR 0.6
million. As a result, profit increased by EUR 5.1 million over the
same period the previous year: a loss of EUR 4.5 million was posted
in the previous year’s period.
Seen from today's perspective, expectations are therefore that the
company will again post a net income this year for the first time
since fiscal year 2001, the CEO states in the company’s Quarterly
Report. The company has beaten its own targets, both in the corporate
customer business and in sales of color machines and printers, he
notes. He added that TA Triumph-Adler has stepped up its focus on
consulting and helps its customers to substantially increase their
document business efficiency. This competitive advantage is now
yielding the kind of benefits that the program for increasing the
company’s own efficiency is likewise delivering.
The cash flow rose in the first nine months of the current fiscal
year from EUR 10.6 million in the previous year's period to the
present EUR 12.4 million. The inflow of funds from ordinary
operations increased to EUR 25.6 million. Cash and cash equivalents
remain almost unchanged at a solid EUR 13 million. The balance sheet
total increased from EUR 422.1 million at December 31, 2005, to EUR
433.8 million at September 30, 2006. One reason for the increase in
total assets and liabilities is the increase in current assets.
Inventories substantially increased in response to increased sales
and in anticipation of the expected continuing pick-up in business in
the fourth quarter.
The shareholders’ equity ratio remains unchanged at 11.4 %. The TA
Triumph-Adler Group employed 1,436 staff as of September 30, 2006
(previous year: 1,459).
