The Austrian AvW Gruppe AG has
significantly expanded its equity participation portfolio in recent
weeks. The stake in the Austrian fund provider C-Quadrat (C81.DE)
has been increased to over 20 per cent this year, and further
purchases are possible. C-Quadrat is an independent Asset Manager
operating throughout Europe. The company, formed in 1991, has since
2003 had its own capital investment company licensed to operate as a
bank, and since November 2006 has been listed in the Prime Standard
of the Frankfurt stock exchange.
AvW´s stake in the German IT company Realtech (RTCG.DE) has been
increased to over 15 per cent. Here also, further purchases are
possible. Realtech was formed in 1994 and is an international
provider of consultancy services and software products.
AvW has acquired a new interest of around one per cent in the Russian
IT services provider IBS-Group (ZY71q.DE). A successive building up
of this stake is possible. With headquarters in Moscow, the
IBS-Group is one of the top IT companies in Russia. It has a staff
of around 6,000 and is pushing through a strong growth policy.
In recent weeks AvW has also increased its stake in the Austrian
refractories company RHI (RHIV.VI). AvW´s interest in this Vienna
stock exchange listed company now stands at more than 5 per cent.
Here too, further purchases are possible.
"In the past weeks we have made use of the sudden fall in prices on
the markets. We have therefore been able to expand our equity
participation portfolio at very attractive prices. We are continuing
to observe the market very closely, and certainly we may make further
purchases before the end of the year," says AvW Chairman Wolfgang
Auer von Welsbach.
