Michel Gréco was elected new chairman in Intercells meeting of the supervisory board. He is taking over the function from Ernst Günter Afting, who in future will serve as Vice-chairman to Intercells Supervisory Board.
Michel Gréco, who has been a member of Intercells Supervisory Board since mid 2003, gained extensive experience of the vaccine industry through his previous positions in acknowledged vaccine companies. In his new role as chairman he will support the company in its next stage of growth.
Michel Gréco is serving as chairman or board member in a variety of supervisory boards of renowned companies and nonprofit organizations which are devoted to the development and commercialization of vaccines. Previously, Mr. Gréco was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Aventis Pasteur S.A., now Sanofi Pasteur S.A.
Helmut Schühsler, who represented the private equity firm TVM Capital on Intercells Supervisory Board, resigns from his position. The company would like to thank Helmut Schühsler, who has been a member of the supervisory board for more than seven years, for his long-term commitment to the company and his outstanding support of Intercell on its way from a university spin-off to an internationally acknowledged vaccine player in the biotech arena.
The Supervisory Board of Intercell now includes the following members: Michel Gréco (Chairman), Ernst-Günter Afting (Vice-chairman), Staph Bakali, David Ebsworth, Hans Küpper, James Sulat and Hans Wigzell.
