After extensive discussions, the management board and works’ council
of Pandatel AG, Hamburg, (ISIN DE0006916307) have decided today to
downsize Pandatel AG’s workforce from 143 employees to 79 employees.
These measures aim at reducing the operating costs by EUR 4.5m. In
the short term, the workforce reduction will lead to a one-time cost
increase due to compensations payable under a social compensation
plan agreed between the management board and the works’ council of
Pandatel AG today. The cost-cutting measures are required due to the
missed expectations with regard to turnover, revenues and
availability of future products during 2004 (Ad hoc Disclosure
October 12, 2004).

Pandatel AG is currently launching several new products. In
combination with the recently acquired product portfolio from
Lightmaze Solutions AG, Pandatel AG anticipates additional business
starting 2005.
