Contract for operating C&A online shops - Operative start planned in second half of 2008 - Logistics capacity extended to 50,000 m2
HAMBURG. April 23, 2008. D+S europe AG (ISIN: DE0005336804), a leading solutions provider for comprehensive e-commerce and customer contact management, and its subsidiary Heycom have acquired the European fashion chain C&A as new client. As announced by C&A today, "C&A Online GmbH" was established as company responsible for all online sales transactions of the fashion enterprise. Apart from its strong positioning in the stationary retail trade C&A is now developing the Internet as an additional sales channel.
In line with its current planning the C&A chain, operating 1,200 shops with over 35,000 employees will enter the e-commerce business in the second half of 2008 (autumn/winter) and open its first online shop in Germany. C&A decided in favor of D+S europe AG and its subsidiary Heycom, which is specialized in e-commerce management and has its headquarters in Garbsen, Lower Saxony, as full-service provider. D+S europe AG will take over the entire process chain of Internet sales from operating the online shop via the complete dispatch logistics to billing management with private customers. In the field of online sales of fashion articles the D+S europe subsidiary Heycom has many years of experience and already services private customers online in various European markets.
