Karlsruhe, October 18, 2004 GROUP Technologies AG, Karlsruhe, hereby announces that its collaboration with Clearswift, UK, which had no longer been satisfactory recently, has come to an end.
GROUP Technologies AG anticipates that 2005 will see a positive upturn in sales through the elimination of certain market restraints which have resulted from the hitherto collaboration with Clearswift. However, the company does envisage that sales will fall short of the envisaged levels during the current fiscal year as a result of this collaboration coming to an end.
Given the drop in sales and the significant additional expenditure brought about by the new capital market regulations, the company now expects EBIT to be up to TEUR 230 lower than envisaged for the fiscal year 2004. The Board estimates that, in the light of this new development, it will barely be possible to realize its declared objective of reaching break-even point in its operative business.
