Dr. Michael Pistauer, CFO, will, at his own request, leave the company at the conclusion of the coming shareholders meeting.
Mr. Pistauer joined the company at the end of 2002 at a very difficult time as the company faced the threat of insolvency. His restructuring tasks improved and strengthened the equity-base, reduced financial liabilities, reduced costs (i.e. personnel, tangible assets) and restructured the product development pipeline All of these restructuring efforts were completed at the end of 2004.
Mr. Pistauer, who announced his intention to leave the company in 2004, was requested by shareholder-groups to create the base for structural changes.
Andreas Rudas, chairman of the Supervisory Board today said, "We are sorry that Mr. Pistauer is leaving and are grateful for his commitment. He informed the new Supervisory Board about his wish to leave the company in January. It was very important for us that fast acting was combined with a structured transition.
The success of the first weeks of this transition confirms our intention. Mr. Pistauer will guarantee the consequent continuation of all restructuring topics and a structured transition until the end of the coming shareholders meeting.
