Leicester City Football Club Strikes Winning Goal Against Email Threats

London (ots)

Enjoys Better Use of IT Time Thanks to GFI MailSecurity and
GFI MailEssentials
Leicester City FC, an English Premiership football
club, struggled to maintain secure network management practices until
it discovered the email security tools offered by GFI. The club now
enjoys a secure network environment, free of email viruses, threats
and spam, through the deployment of the GFI MailSecurity and GFI
MailEssentials bundle, which provides email content security and
anti-spam protection for Exchange Server and other SMTP mail servers.
Details are featured in a new case study issued by GFI.
Yusuf Denath, Leicester City FC's Business Systems and IT Manager,
pointed out that prior to this deployment, the company felt "exposed
and vulnerable." "Mail relaying was becoming a problem and so was the
increasing threat of viruses spreading freely across the network. IT
resources were stretched to the limit, and managing a network became
frustrating and made inefficient use of IT time," he said.
Not just any solution
Leicester City FC decided to purchase a server-based email content
security and anti-spam protection solution - however, not just any
solution would do. Mr. Denath specified that the product they were
seeking had to meet various criteria. Among others, the solution had
to be easy to set up and manage, and be able to run unattended.
The club opted for the GFI MailSecurity/MailEssentials bundle to
meet its needs, the free trial version having enabled Leicester City
FC to test the software fully before purchasing.
Describing the product's key benefits, Mr. Denath said: "We are
now less susceptible to incoming viruses and enjoy better use of IT
time as well as improved user relations. The products are out of
sight but definitely not out of mind. Threats of infections are
minimized and our content filtering and monitoring by file types has
improved."
