New Orange smartphone - Orange SPV C550: a multimedia genius

The new SPV C550 Smartphone from Orange is
available as of today. Features such as a 1.3 megapixel camera, an
enlarged display, direct access to MP3 music files and a video player
have all been combined to make a real multimedia centre of this 10 cm
long silver jewel. Price: from CHF 49 with the Optima 400 price plan.

The stereo headset is enough to tell you that the latest Orange
Smartphone is a phone and an MP3 player in one. Thanks to the Windows
Media Player 10 Mobile and four control keys, storing and playing
your favourite tunes on the SPV C550 is child's play. The integrated
1.3 megapixel camera offers numerous settings (zoom, flash, MMS
pictures etc.) and in addition will allow you to record longer video
clips at 176x144 pixel resolution. The PacketVideo player allows you
to play your preferred video clip.

As with all SPV devices, the SPV C550 is an Orange-specific
Smartphone with integrated add-on services (Back Up, Downloads, Help
etc.).  With the familiar Orange home screen, a single press of a key
takes you straight to the most important applications (Contacts,
Calls, Messaging, Calendar, Camera, Internet). As a PC built into a
mobile phone, the SPV C550 offers all forms of messaging (Email, SMS,
MMS, MSN Messenger), synchronisation of calendar and contact details
with PC or business server (MS Exchange), speakerphone, File explorer
for navigating, surfing the Internet and much more (for further
