the drying specialist PrintConcept

Dr. Hönle AG (ISIN: DE0005157101), Gräfelfing, Munich, a leading supplier of industrial UV technology acquires 70 % of the shares in PrintConcept GmbH, Koengen, near Stuttgart. PrintConcept GmbH´s earnings margins are similarly high as those of the Hönle Group. The company generates annual revenues of approximately EUR 3.5 million. PrintConcept develops, produces and markets UV drying systems for offset printing, in particular.
The Hönle Group will significantly increase its market share in the offset printing segment with this take-over. Moreover, synergy effects in development, production and marketing will result that will further strengthen the earnings power of the Hönle Group.
The purchase agreement stipulates acquisition of 70 % of PrintConcept GmbH as of 1 January 2008. The residual 30 % will be acquired in three stages at 10 % each at the beginning of the following years 2009, 2010 and 2011. Hönle expects annualised consolidated revenue of approximately EUR 45 million as a result of the PrintConcept acquisition.
