The Goldbach Group sells an additional part of its print business in Romania
Kusnacht, 1 July 2011. The Goldbach Group, the leader in the German-speaking
region and Eastern Europe in advertising marketing of moving images and in
online marketing with its company divisions, Goldbach Media, Goldbach Audience
and Goldbach Interactive, is selling an additional part of its print business in
Romania, which does not belong to its core business.
EMI European Media Investment AG, a subsidiary of ARBOmedia AG, Munich,
belonging to the Goldbach Group, has sold its majority stake of the Romanian
company, Trustul de Presa Dunarea de Jos S.A. This means that ARBOmedia now only
owns a publishing house in Romania, for which sales negotiations are also
currently being conducted.
According to Klaus Kappeler, CEO of the Goldbach Group: "We have long sought to
separate from the print business in Romania that we acquired along with
ARBOmedia and which does not belong to the Goldbach Group's core business, so
that we can clearly focus on electronic, mobile and interactive media. Now a
further solution has been found that suits all parties. We shall continue and
expand the online business in a targeted manner as planned."
