Matthias Graf von Armansperg Named Sales & Marketing Director, Europe, for Elemica: Leading Global Network for Chemicals

Von Armansperg will be responsible for leading Elemica's recently appointed European business development team and guiding their efforts to support client needs within global markets. As director of plastics sales to the automotive industry in Europe, von Armansperg established the first pan-European key account organization within BASF and piloted the crossborder implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Most recently, he served in the BASF marketing consultancy and focused on product sales, marketing and positioning strategies in Europe, Asia and the United States. Before joining BASF, von Armansperg worked as a consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton Inc., Düsseldorf, where he was responsible for the reorganization of the European sales division of a leading chemical company, the diversification strategy for an energy and engineering firm and the market entry strategy for a company in the table and giftware industry. Von Armansperg is a Hanns-Seidel Scholar and received an MBA from INSEAD University in Fountainebleau, France. Additionally, he is a University of Miami Fulbright Scholar in environmental engineering and completed several postgraduate training courses in management and international studies.
