BKW Energie AG

Non-strategic participation: BKW sells its stake in Romande Energie

Bern (ots)

As part of the regular review of its shareholdings, BKW has decided to dispose of its stake in Romande Energie Holding S.A. It has therefore signed agreements with CSA Energy Infrastructure Switzerland and the city of Lausanne to sell its five per cent shareholding in the energy company based in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Once the sale is completed, which is expected to be in the next few months, BKW will no longer be a shareholder of Romande Energie Holding S.A.

The planned sale of BKW's shareholding to CSA Energy Infrastructure Switzerland, an investment group of the Credit Suisse Investment Foundation exclusively for Swiss pension funds, and to the city of Lausanne, will be conducted in line with the legal and statutory restrictions and the articles of association.
