BKW AG: Changes to the Board of Directors of BKW
Bern (ots) - Deputy Chair Kurt Rohrbach and Dominique Gachoud will retire from the BKW AG Board of Directors at the next General Meeting. Furthermore, the Canton of Bern has decided to appoint only one delegate to the Board of Directors, with the result that Executive Councillor Beatrice Simon-Jungi will also no longer be on the Board of Directors. BKW's shareholder Groupe E Ltd. has nominated Paul-Albert Nobs to succeed its representative Dominique Gachoud.
Former CEO Kurt Rohrbach has been a member and Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors since 2012. He will retire at the coming General Meeting.
Director General of Groupe E Ltd., Dominique Gachoud has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2015. He will not seek re-election. Groupe E is proposing Paul-Albert Nobs as his successor. With a degree in electrical engineering from EPFL, Mr. Nobs has been Director General of Cremo AG since 1995, and a member of the Board of Directors of Groupe E since 2011.
Bern Executive Councillor Beatrice Simon-Jungi has represented the Canton of Bern on the BKW Board of Directors since her appointment to office as Finance Minister in June 2010. The Canton of Bern will now only delegate one representative to the BKW Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors expresses its gratitude to Kurt Rohrbach for the valuable and lengthy service that he has dedicated to BKW. The Board of Directors also wishes to thank Beatrice Simon-Jungi and Dominique Gachoud for their work on BKW's behalf.
The members of the Board of Directors will be elected by the shareholders at the next ordinary General Meeting of BKW AG. The General Meeting will take place in Bern on 13 May 2016.
