Sustainability - an important success factor

The BKW Group (BKW) drove forward its commitment to sustainability in the 2012 financial year. The company consistently honours its responsibility in the three areas of ecology, economy and society. Further developments in the interests of sustainability generate business opportunities.

The 2012 Sustainability Report documents the following three areas which were analysed in depth in the reporting year:

   - The newly developed vision, mission and guiding principles based
     on the BKW 2030 corporate strategy.
   - The formulation of Group-wide procurement guidelines with the 
     aim of building up an efficient supplier management system.
   - The introduction of special sustainability software which 
     further enhances BKW's commitment to sustainability both within 
     and outside the Group.
